We all know that Hershey is the place to go if you love chocolate. But, did you know that you can go to a chocolate themed amusement park, too?
Hershey Park has a unique system of 'sizing' for kids. When you enter the park, you find which candy bar you are closest to in size, (peanut butter cups, kisses, etc.), and then at each kid's ride, there is a list of which candy bars may ride. It makes it a little more fun for kids who aren't quite tall enough to ride somethings.
Also, throughout the park are candybar vending machines. They are like soda machines, they keep the candy cold so it doesn't melt all over. And, everyone once in a while, you come across the smell of chocolate wafting through the park.
The rides and attractions compete with any other theme park I have been to. Big Bear is a popular inverted rollercoaster. And, of course there are lots of places to eat, sit under a shade tree, and also lots of water rides to get you soaking wet.
This is definitely a family friend park. It's well maintained, and very clean. And, you can always take the ride through tour at the chocolate factory, and get a free Hershey bar when you exit the tour.
