I'm getting a little more picky in my old age and this hotel just isn't a place I'd stay at again.
To be fair, the rooms were clean and the pool was nice. But it's a place that's way overdue for a make over. It looks just like places I stayed at 15 years ago.
We chose the hotel because of its closeness to the North Carolina Zoo, just a few minutes away. We definitely felt out of place at the hotel, though, and stood out from the regular clientèle like sore thumbs. Watching folks hang their laundry on the pool fence left us a little stunned.
Don't let the pictures fool you, this hotel is not as beautiful as its front door.
