Review content:
We used to use this practice for our animals. However, with four dogs we found that we couldn't afford to have their yearly shots done there so we began taking them to the mobile clinics for Rabies shots and others. Several months after having their shots done by the mobile vets we needed to have Kundun seen because of his immune problems. We called this practice and were told that their only available appointment was over a week away. I explained that Kundun needed to be seen before that and started on medications (especially an antibiotic). The receptionist was rather rude and told me that we could come in and they'd try to "work us in."
I took Kundun to their office and after waiting about 15 or 20 minutes the receptionist informed me that they would have to give him his annual shots. They wanted over $50 to do this and I explained that he had just had shots done. Her response was that they didn't care, since his shots had not been done there they wouldn't see him without him having the shots repeated!
I simply didn't have another $50 to spend at the moment so we left and began looking for another vet. I was lucky to find one who was wonderful and we've never looked back at this rude and money hungry practice.
On top of everything else, I learned later that there were newer and much more effective treatments available for Kundun's condition. The treatments they were using were very out of date and only treated the symptoms of his disorder with strong toxic "baths" rather than the cause of his problems which is an inefficient and impaired immune system. Since we switched vets and began him on a new regimen he has had few problems.
I certainly don't recommend these folks.
