We dined on Father's Day, on the recommendation of a professional colleague. We weren't kept to a limited menu, as all too often happens on special days in restaurants, and arrived at late afternoon to find a pleasant ambiance and nice decor. It's not a large place, but no smaller than many non-chain establishments. Booths are particularly comfy, affording reasonable privacy. Staff was attentive and overall low-key; no loud TVs, jarring music or obnoxious celebratory goings-on! The meal offered extras like home-made salad dressings and breads, cheeses on the salads, flavorful soups and large meal portions as well as a well-rounded choice of entrees. The prime rib is juicy and generously dished up, and the shrimp scampi is plump and carefully shelled, served on wild rice in an excellent sauce. Prices are middling, but not out of line. The only criticism was Brussel sprouts that were over-cooked. I will return, as will the family, and am glad we tried it--despite some of the bad reviews!
