MG Gallery Cafe and Tea Room is a quaint spot for breakfast or lunch. Located on Main Street in the town of Chester, this spot recently re-opened under new management. Open for breakfast and lunch, Wednesday to Saturday (8-2) and Sunday Brunch (10-2). A friend and I wandered in for lunch and were delighted to find delicious food which was reasonably priced. Business partners, Cristina and Tom, who share a passion for food have created a delightful ambiance for dining in this cafe. Cristina prepares and bakes all the foods herself and this attention to detail is certainly appreciated by customers who've eaten at the Cafe. On our lunch visit, we enjoyed a delicious mushroom soup, portobella and mozzarella sandwiches on focaccia and apple pie to die for. I even took an apple pie home. The Tea Room is housed in a store that has all kinds of china tea cups and assorted paraphernalia, including a number of red hats! Cristina also has a stand at the local farmer's market in the village of Goshen on Fridays. Come early as her baked goods sell out fast (people know a good thing when they taste it). Otherwise stop by the Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Make sure to have fresh brewed tea with your meal.
