Businiess name:  California Music Channel

For someone who doesn't have cable, and still wants to get their daily (or Monday to Friday) dose of music videos, CMC is the perfect channel. It only comes on for an hour each week day which sucks, but if you have a chance to catch it, then it's worth it. It's on channel 26 (cable 6), a channel that usually airs Asian dramas and programs, and TV shopping shows. So, from 4:00 to 4:30, are the alternative/rock/pop videos (which to me, means anything that isn't rap ;), and from 4:30 to 5:00 is the "Beat Lounge" which is where I come in :). It's perfect because it comes on right about the time that I get home, so I can sit back, relax, and watch my favorite videos. This is a bay area based channel, so they often have contests where you can win bay area T-shirts, or Great America tickets, which I think is cool. It's easy to get through the phone lines, and I actually won a pair of movie tickets once. They're not very good about getting your requests through, but hey, whatever... Overall, a good channel, if you want to take a break from MTV.
