Review content:
This is the place to go if you crave sushi and want to try different varieties. I dined at Minado Japanese Seafood Buffett Restaurant about 3 weeks ago for the first time and was totally bowled over by the variety and freshness of the sushi. I have never been able to fill up on sushi because of the price, but here for one set price you can eat sushi to your heart's delight.
If you aren't a fan of the raw fish there are lots of cooked seafood, meat and vegetable dishes along with salads, crepes, soups and desserts. It isn't your typical Asian Buffet, though. I have been to Minado's 2 times and have yet to see eggrolls, pad thai, spareribs, etc. Also, soda and tea are $1.50 with free refills.
I am a big fan of their Miso Soup and especially like a cold salad of wild greens, mandarin oranges, almonds and a wonderful sweet dressing. The desserts are different, too. Little green tea cakes, blueberry custard cups and the like. There is also green tea, ginger, strawberry and chocolate ice cream.
Lots of fresh fruit and jello, too.
Restaurant is very clean and wait staff polite and efficient. It is a bit pricey for dinner, esp. on weekends and holidays. Lunch is more affordable. The restaurant is very popular and on weekends there is a waiting list.
