My family eats out a lot! We have friends we go out with, or just me and the kids will go. I love going out, just having a relaxing meal. I have not been to Applebee's in quite some time, so tonight, we thought it sounded good. We were in a rush, which isn't the best time to go to Applebee's, as my daughter had a softball game, but everything turned out great anyway. We arrived at around 6pm, on a Friday evening. The restaurant was already getting busy with it's Friday night crowd. We were still greeted and seated immediately. We had a really great server, named Jason, who was a really fun guy, cracking jokes, and even talking to my six year old... bonus points to any server who gets along well with kids! The Moore Applebee's is located just off the I-35 Highway and Indian Hills Road exit. They are located right by a shopping center, but have their own parking lot, which makes it convenient, and even though they are usually busy, we had no problem finding a spot. Tonight, I opted to go with a new menu item I had never tried, the Asiago Chicken, with their delicious garlic mashed potatoes, that are so well known and loved! It also came with fresh, steamed broccoli, and the best garlic bread I have tasted in a long time, which is saying a lot, as my sons and I love garlic bread! I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this meal was! The side items complimented my entree perfectly... they were wonderful, but the Asiago Chicken was absolutely heavenly!!! As often as I eat out, I was amazed at how this wonderful dish delighted my taste buds! This is, honestly, the best dish I have had in years!!! The chicken comes smothered in their wonderful Asiago cheese sauce, and topped with fresh tomatoes and onions... mouthwatering! Anyway, I just cannot say enough about how wonderful our meal and our server were! But there are a few other things I do like about Applebee's that I would like to point out, since I am reviewing their restaurant! They offer such a wonderful menu, including several Weight Watchers items, for those watching their fat and caloric intake. Their food is always fresh and delicious. The environment is one that would make anyone have fun! They play upbeat music and have the place decorated in such a fun style. The servers always seem to be more upbeat than any other restaurant I have visited. The management comes out to check on you, and wishes you a good evening when you leave. As you can see, there are many, many reasons to visit your local Applebee's. Tonight's experience was with the Moore location, but I have had a pleasant experience at every location I have been. Treat yourself and your family to a fun night out... and know you'll get wonderful food and service at Applebee's!
