Review content:
Erie is a town that has so much to do, yet so few people take advantage. Boasting a double A baseball team for the Detroit Tigers, our Erie Seawolves make a hot summer day enjoyable. Cold winter months can be spent snuggled inside the ice rink watching up and coming Junior A Hockey players kick butt with the Erie Otters. And now, we finally have some football!
A long time football town, most of us enjoyed watching a high school game long after we graduated. Whether it was to cheer on your alma mater or cheer for a family member playing at the game, Erieites of all ages come out for the high school football.
But high school football is just that, high school football. The Erie Freeze coming to town has been a true blessing. Offering a fast paced game, completely different than anything you're used to with outdoor football, these are a group of hard working men who are there for the love of the sport and hopes of a chance of a career in the sport they love. Some are NFL dropouts, others didn't quite make it to that level while others are working their way towards that dream.
If you're expecting NFL style you're wrong. A much more showy style of football, the indoor league offers a faster paced game with slightly different rules. You can actually stand on the field behind soft walls and get a feel for the game. Still a sport that doesn't have a huge following, the indoor football league is slowly gaining ground. A great outlet for the football fan that loves the sport and needs a fix even in the off season.
And the Erie Freeze seems to be one of the toughest in the league! Come see them in action!
