Review content:
I went to Virginia to visit the Jamestown settlement in late May. It was a hot day. There is a small museum inside and then you walk around outside to see other things. The inside museum is being expanded to downstairs. Therefore, you have display cards but no display. There is no item in the display case. When I asked where the artifacts were I was told they are being moved to the new museum that opens in October. I was then told to come back in October to see the new exhibit. I asked if I would get a discount ticket since the exhibits I came to see were empty and was told no. Why do I want to pay another $11.75 a person when this $11.75 was a waste. We then went outside for a walk around the outside. We had a nice guide that took us through Powhatan Indian village and told us about their life. we then went to the village where the pilgrims set up. We learned about their life. From here we went down to the dock and saw three different boats and were told about the crossing to the new world. This was very nice. I am sorry but there is so much being worked on or rebuilt or just built that the site was lacking. My advice to you if you are planning on going to Jamestown settlement go in October when the new museum opens because you are not going to see too much now. I am very disappointed in this trip. I hope my next trip is better. Good luck with your trip.
