Review content:
The Women's Imaging Center, located in the Saxon Medical Pavillion in Kingston, is a wonderful medical facility. The staff is caring, and truly make a difficult time less stressful.
The waiting area was clean, cozy, and had plenty of reading material (updated too) as well as a television. The seats were very comfortable, and there were beautiful flowers on the tables -- it had a feel more of a living room than a medical office waiting area.
A wonderful aspect is that the same nurse that greets you in the waiting area is the same nurse who stays with you throughout your visit -- which is an aspect I appreciated.
They take time to have a personalized consultation, explaining exactly what will take place and how it will be done -- again in a room that appears and feels more like a sitting room than a medical office.
The staff is also very encouraging and supportive. In my experience, after the initial films were taken, the radiologist ordered more of one side, and it did become painful after the fourth one. However the staff was wonderful in offering tips to make it less bothersome.
The waiting area that patients stay in while waiting for the films to be developed and reviewed by the dr. is also cozy -- flowers, a television, magazines, comfortable chairs.
The Dr. will review all of the test results with you before ou leave -- that is a huge plus, as waiting for results is very stressful. I appreciated this aspect as well.
The Center is conveniently located and is very easy to find. They have ample parking on the side and in the rear of the building (the most being in the rear).
If you need to have any need for this sort of testing, I would *highly* recommend visiting the Women's Imaging Center.
