My family are pretty much regular visitors to the Regatta condominium in Gulf Shores, AL. You can rent rooms for your vacation directly through the Regatta Rentals & Sales or you can find one or two rooms there rented out through another company (like Meyer). The rates are different for the different seasons. This is a mid rise condo, but, the rooms are every bit as nice as the high rises, and often times cheaper at peak seasons.
They have one pool (with hours. Believe it's no one in after 8 pm) with a deck and chairs to lay out in. They have two to four bedroom units (with 2 baths each). Some three and all the four bedrooms are the ones that have views facing the beaches; the others have side views. Some of the rooms (believe the 3 bedroom on the west side) have lofts. The condo is located directly on the beach (Hooters is across the street, for location. The Pink Pony Pub is only a short walk away as well, to give you an idea where it's located.)
All the units have washer and dryers inside, they have ovens , fridges, garbage disposals, and dishwashers, and they all have cable tv. There is a 2 car limit, and you are issued parking passes with your rental.
Regatta is a nice place to stay, in my opinion. The crowds on the beach aren't that bad right now because they're developing on all sides of the condo (no noise, no worries), and you have the best view for the 4th of July fireworks show here because the boats are directly in front of the area the Regatta is at.
