I went in for an oil change which I had an appointment for just before New Years. After 45 minutes I finally saw my car being serviced, and 15 minutes later they came in to tell me my inspection was due on Jan 1st (I hadnt asked them to do that) and that they looked at my brakes and I needed new rotors and pads, which would be about $450, and that it was metal to metal and I couldnt get an inspection sticker without it. Luckily, I was going to visit family the next day and had my uncle who is a mechanic look at it. He said that my pads were low, but it was not metal to metal, and he could reuse the current rotors instead of getting all new ones. It cost me $175 with an inspection. Slight difference than Carlisle- Remember, I didnt hear or feel any problem with my brakes, and my truck was less than 2 years old. They were completely trying to get money out of me. If I need something fixed that is not under my warranty there, I will not give them the money to do it. I'd rather take it somewhere else. Guess the $30K I spent on my truck wasnt enough....
