The one thing I will get out of the way right off the top of my head about this mall is that findind a parking spot, especially during the holiday season, is like the quest for the Holy Grail. In fact, you might have better luck finding the Grail than an empty space here if it's in the month of November or December,.
That said, this is one of my favorite malls in Chicago area. Not long ago this place was dying, with very few stores left. Then management changed and an entire revamping of the place happened. The mall is outdoors, so be prepared for that if it's cold out. Still, the entire place is now very upscale and has an excellent blend of stores, food and entertainment.
The movie theaters in this mall are excellent and offer a decent selection of big-budget movies and independent films. The restaurants are excellent with Houlihan's, Cheesecake Factory and Champps Sports Bar and Restaurant among the excellent restaurants where you can sit down and relax after a day of shopping. Champps is also a great place to get together with the guys for a drink, food and to watch a sporting event.
There's a Franklin Covey store that I frequent for all of my planning needs. There are jewelry stores, clothing, music, books, housewares. It's excellent all around.
Check it out, but beware of the parking lot.
