Review content:
If looking for flea markets, there's nothing better in southern Alabama heat than an indoor air conditioned flea market.
Foley Indoor Flea Market is that. They have a lot of regular vendors, so you'll meet some of the nicest people that are there every weekend that it is open. (Friday and Saturday). They have expensive goods, as well as new items that are very reasonably priced, as well as odds and ends and knick knack type things.
An example of regular vendors and goods:
There is a lady there who sells collectible dolls that she makes. They are so lifelike and beautiful!
There is also a woman there that sells Avon products (MANY different to choose from) and perfumes and lotions.
There is a craftsman there, who makes the most unbelievably beautiful furniture. They are crafted as if he had royalty in mind. They look like antiques, some perhaps Victorian style. I mainly go to look at the tables. I saw one that was a glass top , and the base was made of elaborately carved swans in a deep wood, perhaps mahogany (perhaps. Rusty on my wood..lol). I fell in love! (You should see the bedroom set!!!)
Anyhow, the people there are always really nice. You find that you can chit chat to them with ease. Kind of like you know them.
If you like flea markets (if you like crafted furniture, collectible dolls, antiques, Avon, perfumes, and really cool knick knacks too) and are in the area, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's best to go early in the day while all the vendors are still there. Some leave out early before closing, especially if it's a slow day there. I'm quite sure you'll be glad you did visit. If anything, because of the niceness of the vendors.
