My name is Mike Markowski. I own The Good Car Company in Fenton, MI. It is irksome that as a business owner, I cannot defend my reputation and business practices on Judy's Book when someone flames you or outright lies about you in a review. Both Amy S and Matthew S claim our import prices are too high. In comparison to what? We consistently have the lowest prices on most vehicles offered on Cars.Com or AutoTrader. Our cars are high quality with a clean CarFax. They are safety inspected, repaired, and sold with a 3500 mile warranty included in the asking price. You can't compare the price of a rebuilt, repo, or nasty vehicle to a correct one. You can compare new cars by price. Used cars are all created differently. You cannot compare the price of a BMW or Toyota to a Cavalier or Ford Taurus. Not that there is anything wrong with those vehicles; we sell them too. Their wholesale value is considerably less than most Toyotas, BMWs, or Volvos. Our prices are usually less than Kelly Blue Book Private Party values. Plus our vehicles are safety inspected, mechanically corrected, detailed and have warranty.
In response to the accusation of being dishonest about our vehicles: We would never allow a salesman to lie to a customer about any aspect of a vehicle offered. We value honesty and take seriously the scriptures that imply that Liars shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Matthew S says that on different occasions he was told that the van he was looking at was driven by the owners wife. If it were not true, it wouldn't have been said. There are two owners of The Good Car Co. We have families. We drive our inventory. My wife drives a van for about six months, 6000-8000 miles before it is re-cleaned and offered for sale. It is probable that if he visited our dealership two different times and looked at a van both times, My wife and family most likely did use it. HONEST
