Review content:
I like to support the small business owner but I do expect a couple minor things when entering a business. The top of the list is customer service. As soon as I entered this store the gentleman behind the counter was obviously annoyed by my presence there. There were two what appeared to be "regulars" in his shop and he was chatty with them and more than willing to help them with their searches and questions and yet when I told him that I would like to look at a certain pistol he was in no hurry to get it out. Upon inspection of the pistol it took him all of about 1 min and 30 seconds to ask me if I was going to buy it. HUH??? He never asked if I had any questions, never tried to sell me the pistol just rudely asked, "So are you going to buy it?" After about 10 min. I decided to purchase the pistol that I was looking at and told the gentleman so, he stared at me like I had just insulted his wife. I then repeated that I would take the pistol and again the same response. The third time I stated that I would like to buy the gun he looked down and let out a heavy breath and looked annoyed at the fact that he would then have to fill out the paper work to sell me the pistol. I tried to brighten his mood by telling him I wanted to buy another gun when he got it in an buy more ammo but he was still not happy after that. It was late in the day I had made a long trip to get to his shop because he had the gun I wanted and I was rewarded with rudeness. Not to mention the fact that the sticker said the gun was new, when I got home and closely inspected the pistol it was obvious that it had been fired and not cleaned.
So in summary, ammo prices were pretty high, gun prices were fair on most guns, new gun was used, man at counter rude.
Conclusion: I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Every person I meet and talk to about purchasing a gun or ammo I will tell them to keep clear of this shop. I'm sure I will find someone who is happy to take my money.
