Review content:
I used to be a trainer at my old company on something called Quality Toward Excellence. Part of the class was a video by Tom Peters (a famous quality guru) and in it he touted Nordstrom for their famous quality and best all around service. At the time, we didn't have a Nordstrom in the state. However, a few years later, one opened at my favorite mall and I have been a dedicated shopper ever since.
I mostly shop for shoes because their sales people are expert at what they do but I have also become a regular at the grooming counter. Last year they had stylists from a famous NYC salon (John Allen) set up shop and give free haircuts, shoe shines and manicures. It was amazing - the best haircut I ever had (did I mention free?).
Recently, I bought a great moisturizer that I can't find anywhere else. A day or two later, the sales rep had sent me a handwritten thank you note. Geeze, I don't get thank you notes from anyone and I get one from my Nordstrom sales rep!
As long as I have money and a need to shop, I will always be a Nordstrom customer.
