Review content:
We had a terrible experience dining at the Striped Bass Restaurant in Tarrytown, NY. It was not crowded when we got there, but we waited for over 2 hours for a party of only 6. We socialized at the bar and that was the only good experience we had. After almost drinking our dinner and finally got seated, the food was awful and not worth the wait or any desire to be Dining "on the Water". There are many other restaurants in Tarrytown that have much better service and food. The seafood and Fish entrées are overpriced and you would have a much more enjoyable experience eating in Rockland or at another Tarrytown location. The customer is not always right or even cared for, as we learned when we actually complained to the manager face to face. We were basically told that it did not matter they will get their crowd and money anyway. Choose wisely before dining at Striped Bass. The owners know that people will come because of their allure with the waterside dining. Who would want to give their business to a restaurant who does not believe in customer satisfaction? There are better locations for Catering for your Wedding Reception, birthday and Rehearsal Dinners.
