Review content:
but not bad either. For many years, this area had no non-chain seafood restaurants. That's tough on shrimp lovers like myself. Captain's Galley is pretty good. That's relative. It's pretty good for restaurants that are ten or twelve hours from the coast. The hush puppies are actually the best I've ever had. They're served with sauce like a free appetizer. They beat chips n salsa anytime! Based on my experience, breaded items are better than boiled. Blackened items are sometimes overcooked. The onion rings are among the best you'll find. And the prices are very reasonable. While it is just off I-40, it's not a good stop if you're traveling through. The food is kind of heavy, plus it's a hot spot. Weeknights aren't too busy, but you can wait a good 45 minutes on the weekends.
One last thing, the restaurant offers a wide variety of combination platters that let you get the best of everything. Plus, it has many choices on its senior's menu. (No, I don't qualify.)
