Review content:
It really is sad but Brian's omelets are so good that they are the benchmark I use not matter where we travel to judge. I travel a lot, and I have never found any omelets that come even close. It's gotten so bad that I hate to even order an omelet anywhere else.
But if you aren't an omelet lover there is plenty of other breakfast choices here. I am especailly addicted to the cold fruit soups that summer brings. No matter which combination of fruits they are made from they are unique and outstanding.
Speaking of outstanding be prepared to be out standing in front on the weekend to get a seat. The quality of the food is no secret and unless you do what we do and come very early or very late you will have an extended wait.
During the week come for lunch and try a steamed cheeseburger with sweet potato fries or a bowl of homemade soup.
You don't come here for atmosphere, though the silver diner is quite a looker, you come for some of the best downhome food around. Service is always friendly and once he gets to know you Brian will visit you at your table to make sure you are satisfied with your choice or to get you to sample something he is experimenting with.
