Review content:
The atmosphere and the food at Tanjia are really excellent.
The menu consists of 2 fixed price menu "packages" priced at $21 and $24. Your choice of soups, appetizers, etc. are limited. Come prepared for the full meal as there is no option to order a la carte.
Another thing you should be aware of before going to Tanjia is that the cushions, which comprise most of the seating at the restaurant, are not particularly comfortable given the leisurely pace of dinner. There is, however, some more conventional seating in back. I would recommend checking ahead for that if you aren't up for the traditional seating arrangement.
For 2 people, one glass of wine, with tip and tax, we spent about $60 (a bit more than I was expecting, but certainly commensurate with the quality and variety of food served).
One final note, the restuarant touts belly dancing every night. The dancers aren't always out, but when they are it can be a lot of fun.
