I've only been to this church to attend a service a couple of times and that was many years ago but it seemed like a nice place to attend worship. What I really like about this church is that every year they have a GREAT BIG RUMMAGE sale! This year it's on May 5th and I believe it starts at 6 am. Get there early! It's the hugest church sale I've ever seen in Bakersfield. I love love love it and would never miss it. When I was working outside of the home, I would ask for that day off! lol They have super prices and anything and everything you could imagine. My only complaint is that a couple of years it rained and books got messed up. :*(
Last year they tried to throw sheets of plastic over them but the books on the bottom got messed up. It was soooo sad. And on the second day, everything is on sale! I think it's 2 bucks for a brown paper bag on the second day. You will be sure to see me there on opening day probably an hour before it starts! A lot of people go to it.
