I will *never* shop at Sears again. I recently ordered a Maytag front loading washer from this store. They set up delivery and all was well. Until an hour past the agreed upon delivery window passed and they called and informed me that they would not be delivering my washer because the driver refused to go up my driveway. Say WHAT? Yes - the driveway is "too steep" and he wasn't able to make it safely to the top. (Hmmm... then I guess the roofers, windows guys, and MOVING TRUCKS have gotten safely up and down but by the grace of God?) No, what happened was this: it was the end of the day and the delivery driver simply didn't feel like driving up the driveway and making his delivery. After much back and forth, during which is was suggested we meet the driver at the bottom of the hill with a pick-up truck (Um, no.), Sears decided that they would do NOTHING more for us. So we cancelled the order, got a refund, wrote a nasty letter and went to Home Depot. Guess what? Home Depot had the same model for $50 less and after they heard our story, they delivered our washer for free - got the truck up the driveway and everything. Guess where I'll be going when we need a new refridgerator in the next few months?
