"Just a manicure please." I was assigned a male whose hands smelled of smoke. Glancing around I noticed young manicurists lounging in the back sprawled on empty spa chairs eating food and sucking on lollipops. Conversation was loud, without any consideration to the clients. (Actually there was just another woman besides me.) I should have left when I could. My guy proceeds to remove my polish. Using a squeeze bottle, he dribbles the acetone over my nails and wipes them with the now wet towel. He takes a nail file and hits it against the side of the table and proceeds to file. I looked for dents in the file as he hits it several more times while filing. He then sloshes my hands and arms with warm lotion and covers them with a warm, moist towel. I ask if he uses oil and water and he laughs. He tells me that they use hot oil to soften the cuticle. Hot oil? My hands were covered in lotion. Next came the cuticle instrument which he cleans by holding it over the floor while dripping acetone. I wondered if someone was going to mop. He drips more acetone on the floor as he cleans the cuticle cutter. He does a decent job of cutting my cuticles. As I pay the $13 + $2 tip I realize I'm paying too much for this. He applies the polish twice, using extremely thick globs. Finally, my guy turns on the fan, which doesn't work, and then escorts me to the drying table. I wanted to hightail it out of there but it took forever for my nails to dry. "I've got to write my very first review," I thought as I left. Pros: Good location Cons: The entire experience was unprofessional and a waste of money.
