Review content:
I've never understood their slogan. I didn't realize there were any rules whatsoever to eating a steak. Just cook mine medium rare and I'm a happy clam!
Our local Outback is suitable for family dining. I stay away from the busy times of the day though. I don't find their food to be on a scale that I would stand in line to wait, even with the call ahead seating.
We ate their recently two pasta dishes, two chicken fingers and one steak with baked potato. Everyone's food was good. My steak was a typical house steak but was cooked appropriately. The only disappointment was my baked potato. Not only was it cold when it was brought to the table but 1/2 of it was rotten. Since everyone else had a nice dinner, I didn't feel like sending it back and then having a cold steak.
Overall the service was good and food acceptable. We will eat there again if we get an urge to go.
***Update*** After contacting Outback and letting them know of my baked potato fiasco I will admit I am very impressed with their overall handling of the situation. I spoke with the general manager who had great service recovery, he apologized for the potato and mailed me a $20 gift certificate to use for a future visit. I will go back.
