The name of this store tells you a lot about the merchandise- undoubtedly unique! The store is located next to the Post Office, in the garden level of an old Victorian. The garden level has been re-done into a store- with hand poured flooring and carved pillars that are works of art in themselves. Although the location might seem a bit odd, it so so worth a visit. The items in the store hail from a variety of artists- everything from paintings to sculptures to handmade cards, scarves, clothing and jewelry. The prices are reasonable considering what is being offered. I can always find a "unique" and interesting gift for a loved one. They might seem a bit off the beaten path- not quite on "The Avenue" (oak park avenue and lake area) and not quite downtown- sort of in-between the two areas. They are right near the Frank Loyd Wright Unitarian church- so if you are in town seeing the sites make sure you cross the street from the temple and take in the wonders at this store! You may want to call ahead for hours.
