The happiest day of our lives
11/2/05 at 4:40 pm: We celebrated our wedding at the Green Gate Village Historic Inn, and could not be happier with our experiences with them.
Right from the start they were courteous, informative, and extremely helpful with planning our special day. They always made sure we had everything we needed and definitely went above and beyond the call of duty in making sure everything ran smoothly. They even gave us discounts for scheduling so many events with them.
We had our wedding luncheon in the Garden Room, a charming and intimate room where we could comfortably seat 25 people. The menu they offer is good, varied and suitable for the Historic setting, although they could learn a few things about food presentation. It was very tasty, but not as attractively displayed as it could be.
After the luncheon we held our wedding reception in the Carriage House, which was great. They supply just about everything you need (at a cost), but don't forget your cake knife!
Our wedding night was spent in the Alexandria Suite in the Orson Pratt House, a well-kept, pretty room with every amenity. It was so great to have everything so close together, and to know that the people at the Inn knew who we were and could therefore make sure we had everything we needed.
It is also a great location for photos, which means that we will be able to keep our memories with us for years to come.
