After my father passed away a several weeks ago, his second wife moved out of the house and took the newspaper subscription with her. Or so we thought. After 6 telephone calls between the two of us, not one customer service representative could make the delivery boy stop delivering papers. He looks to be in his 30s, but he is delivering papers, so I'll call him a boy. Last night I took it into my own hands to ask the delivery person to stop delivering to my address. When I approached the vehicle and spoke to him he simply plopped the paper out and ignored me. What gives? I don't want this stupid paper, I'm not paying for it, and I still have to pick this company's garbage off my lawn every day? What if I were going out of town and did not want people to know I was away and I got robbed because of all the papers in front of my house? What if this happened to someone who was actually paying them??? One rep old me it would take 24 hours before they could contact the delivery driver and it may take 3-4 days for the paper to stop. That was last week. The subsciption was cancelled last month. Their reasoning for not just calling him was the fact that the rep was in New Hampshire. What kind of cutting edge newspaer can't make a long distance phone call? Anyway, that is my rant. Hopefully the papers will stop coming soon.
