Previously known as the Lexington Children's Museum, the renamed Explorium is Lexington's first children's museum and family learning environment. Located in Victorian Square in downtown Lexington, their web site states that family memberships (starting at $75 per year) include many benefits, including discounts on admission tickets to the Lexington Children's Theatre and the Kentucky Horse Park. Teachers are welcome to arrange groups visits to the Explorium, and their Field Trips to Go program will bring the resources of the Explorium to your classroom. Many workshops and classes are also offered on Saturday afternoons. Visit their web site to see a current calendar of events and exhibits, as well as the hours they are open to the public:
