Scottish Rite Center at 431 West Berry Street is an amazing historic landmark in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne! I heard a rumor that it is being sold and I want to make sure that everyone here gets to add their two cents about whether is wonderful big old brick landmark makes it another decade. The facility is wonderful. The parking is easy. You need only go right across the street where the big sign advertises parking for the events. There is also metered street parking. Unfortunately, when the city expanded the large convention center and the coliseum, they took away some of the folk who would bring their shows to the Scottish Rite Center. Typical Fort Wayne screw up. There are only so many people in Northeast Indiana; you can't bring in people from TN or PA to go to events in FW. When they report all the attendance records for the big buck remodel on the FW Coliseum, remember they came at the expense of another facility. We now need to make sure that the Scottish Rite Center is not demolished for another empty downtown parking lot!
