Review content:
Young’s Fish Market is located in the City Square center in Kalihi. This location, which opened several years ago, combined the two separate, smaller stores in Kalihi and Liliha (the original location).
Young’s is well known for its lau lau (salted pork and fish with taro leaves, wrapped in ti leaf and steamed) and poke (cubed, raw fish mixed with soy sauce, other sauces, onions, and seaweed). So far, Young’s is my favorite for both.
While the lau lau and poke are usually pick-up orders (to take to your own party at home), the City Square store has ample indoor seating and a take-out counter for ordering plate lunches.
