Businiess name:  Swiss Pastry Shop
Review by:  Catherine W.
Review content:
Swiss Pastry is an old timey bakery and restuarant. It's a favorite with elderly lawyers, for example, as well as "ladies that lunch." Not real exciting. But here is the deal with Swiss Pastry: It's all about the black forest cake which is not really a black forest cake at all - no chocolate except for shavings on the top and certainly no cherries to be found. What it is, is a large rectangular meringue covered and filled with whipped cream. The meringue is sliced horizontally, with about three layers, one on top of the othe, making up the cake. Somehow, the cake is covered sides and tops completely with chocolate shavings (They must blow it on!). A Black Forest cake will run you about $20, should be made and picked up the day of your event and must be refrigerated. Sometimes the recipe is reprinted in the Star-Telegram. If you search on Google, you should find it. Now go order one ASAP. It's a Ft. Worth institution!
