Review content:
We have CenturyTel for our phone service. Of course that is our only choice. I can say that everyone I have spoken to on the phone has been polite and mostly explained things well. You have to make sure and ask for fees and taxes when you are getting quotes for packages and such, because you can always add on another $20 just for the fees and taxes. The cost of having phone service with them seems very expensive to me. We pay $40.00 now for a basic phone with $5.00 long distance plan. We used to have caller id, call waiting, etc. with a bigger long distance plan, but we were consistently paying $65.00-$78.00 a month, and we only made 1 - 2 long distance calls for about 1/2 hour each. Ridiculous. So, customer service is pretty good. I usually don't have to wait too long before I get ahold of one. But, prices stink. Maybe they do everywhere, but we have lived other places and this seems to be the highest phone service we've had.
