Businiess name:  Radisson Hotel

Review content:
Never use the Radisson for wedding bookings! My fiance and I began our search for a wedding reception hall a year and a half before our wedding date. We were quite happy with our experience at the showing of the Radisson, enjoyed the fact that our guests would have the option to stay over, loved the food at the taste testing...until four months before our date. I received a call from our "new" wedding planner, explaining over a voicemail message that there was a slight change in the plans. Construction would be starting on the hotel beginning the first of September, the month we were getting married. No worries, other than that the entire sleeping section of the hotel was being shut down and we would have no access to any of the hotel rooms other than the ballroom. Guests would need to enter on the side of the building and would need to be sure they parked in the small section still available after construction vehicles had overtaken the majority of the lot. It was also suggested that guests could choose to park in the empty lot of a furniture store. We were shocked and extremely upset that our plans were being changed so drastically from what our original contract stated. We decided to meet with the hotel's manager, Lance something-or-other, who tried to seem concerned for our disappointment, but mentioned several times in our meeting that he was putting his reputation on the line just the same. Realizing that the hotel's manager was not going to be of any help, we decided to bail out and attempt to find another venue just 4 months before the date. Aside from his disconcern, it took nearly 6 phone calls to get our finances in order with the ever-so-helpful manager, Lance. He was conveniently slow at getting our money back to us and offered very little apology. My suggestion is to stay far away from the Radisson Monroeville for your wedding needs unless you want a disapppointment.
