Review content:
I was excited to find Mystic Pizza was a real place. I remembered the movie, but as I'm from Georgia, it pretty much faded out of my mind as anything other than the name of a movie.
I was very surprised when we passed it driving through Connecticut, and convinced my fiancee to stop so we could at least take a picture. But getting anywhere near the door, if it opens, you will be sucked in. It smells so good in there!
The small pizza is a good size for one person, if you're moderately hungry, and you'll still be able to take one or two pieces home. Any pizza that has the meatballs on it will be wonderful, and they have several specialty offerings if you prefer to create your own pizza. Not quite deep dish, definitely not thin...the crust is its own creation and I just crave this stuff!
I love when people come to visit from out of state, I always take them here. The parking isn't great, and the turn in and out of the lot can be crazy, considering the hill just to the side with cars flying down it. But this place is definitely worth the trip.
