One of my favorite places I have discovered since moving to this area is the All Star Convenience stores! Yes, it sounds cheesy, but I have to have my fountain drink to get me going... and to keep me going throughout the day! lol They, not only, offer great prices, they even advertise on their signs that they add more syrup to their fountain drinks for a better flavor... now that's my kind of store! lol I guess people who don't drink them all the time may not understand, but I HATE going in to a new store to buy a fountain drink, coming out to the car, taking a big 'ol sip, and it tastes like dirt!!!!!!!! It seems that many stores skimp on the syrup, so you end up with that nasty carbon flavor... gross!
Of course, there are many other great things about All Star stores. They are open all the time, they are always super clean (a big plus in my book), they offer a small selection of hot foods, as well as all the junk food you normally find in a convenience store, and they also offer some healthy fresh foods, like fruit.
Another thing that makes All Star stores unique is that they have a separate part of the store, inside, where you can cash your payroll checks. I have used their services before, when I was in a hurry, and was impressed. They don't take half your check, like a lot of places tend to do! They even cash all my survey checks, from various places in the United States. They take your picture on your first visit, so there is no need for you to pull out your identification or member card, anything like that... just give them your signed checks and they take care of the rest. Having had checks stolen before, I like that their system feels safe to me... if the person trying to cash the checks doesn't look a whole lot like me, they won't cash them!
As you can see, there are many benefits of shopping at All Star. They have many locations, and I have been to most of them in this area, and they have all been high quality, overall good stores.
