I started going to Mellow Mushroom when I lived in Tuscaloosa, and my husband and I are big fans. This particular Mellow Mushroom is very open and family friendly. We went in the off season, so it is probably very crowded during the summer. They offer fabulous pizzas and calzones (I especially recommend the calzones!). They make the pizza and calzones to order, and they are always served hot and fresh. They also have a good beer selection. If you want really good pizza, skip CiCi's and head straight to Mellow Mushroom!
