Rita's Water Ice on Maryland Avenue is a great place to go for a nice summer treat. They have great water ices, ice cream and gelati. My favorite flavor ice is passion fruit, but they have over 25 flavors they make. However, they don't always have all of them available. They often introduce a new flavors. They give away free water ice on the first day of spring which usually draws a crowd. The staff is usually younger people, often teens working the summer. You can purchase individual servings as well as quarts and larger sizes. They also have theme nights with fun give aways. Usually they are around the 15th of the month. This of course is one of the busier times as are the hotter days of the spring and summer. Overall though it's a nice place to get a cool treat. The employees are courtesy and the the facility looks very clean.
