Review content:
We went to aroma last week, and, while the food was very good, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. There was just one server on duty, and some big shot named Shimon. The restaurant was not as busy as it was last year when they used to have three or four servers during dinner, but it was too busy for one server to handle properly. But, while the server was running around trying to take care of the all tables, Shimon chose that time to sit down in the main dining area and eat dinner as if he was a VIP. While he saw that the server was busy, he never lifted a finger to help out and even ignored the server's requests for assistance - he basically just ignored the restaurant and the customers as if he was the most important person there. Later on, he finally managed to get off his chair, but only to insult a customer and give that customer his pompous attitude. Never once did he go to a table and greet them, or even show appreciation that the customers were even there. After some research, I later learned that although he sometimes claims to be the owner, this Shimon is not the owner. Instead, he is the brother of the owner, and simply an employee. Unfortunately, he is the chief reason that this restaurant is no where near as busy as it was a year ago. It's a shame that another really good restaurant has gone downhill. As I said, the food is still good, but, it's a roll of the dice whether you get to enjoy a nice atmosphere any more, and after our last experience, I'm not sure that my wife and I want to go back there.
