Businiess name:  Bob & Kay's Auto Wash
Review by:  Heather S.
Review content:
I drive a Chevy Tahoe and my husband has always told me to be careful which car washes I use. But, I thought this would be a safe one since I had heard so much about their "shark wash". I thought my daughter would enjoy seeing the sharks. It started off okay, I folded my mirrors in and took off my antenna as the signs suggested. We pulled in and our windows started fogging up, so we really couldn't see the small shark tank off to the right of the entrance. We rode through the car wash and I got out when we were done to reattach the antenna and fold out my mirrors. The first thing I noticed was that my mirror was terribly gouged. Obviously it wasn't like that when I pulled in or I would have noticed. On further inspection, I noticed my windshield wiper had been torn off, the driver's side door had deep gouges in it, like it had been hit by a chain, and there were scratches all the way down the driver's side. There was also damage to the hood of my car and the tailgate. I immediately went inside and told them I had a lot of damage from their car wash. They sent the manager out to look at it. I showed him all of the damage and he never said a word. He went back inside and then had me fill out a claim form where I filled out all of the damage that I noticed. He told me to call my insurance company and they would handle it. Everyone was acting very strangely and I had a bad feeling about the whole situation. I guess I had a reason to! I took my car to a body shop where they charged me $1800 to fix the damage. My insurance company tried to recoup some of the costs from Bob and Kay's, but they denied that the damage happened at their car wash!! They even tried to deny that I filled out a claim form! So, I ended up having to pay my deductible and they got away without paying a penny for the damage their faulty car wash caused. I imagine there are plenty of people that have visited this car wash with no problems. But, just remember that the one time you do have problems, Bob and Kay's will not step up to the plate and pay for the damages.
