Review content:
I took my boyfriend and his mom to dinner at Teak last Saturday night. I had read so much about the decor (lighting, music, statues, wall fishtank), that I had to check it out. We sat outside to enjoy the weather, but this is NOT recommended as the tables were on such a slant. I had to constantly ensure that my martini didn't topple over! I also was sitting on a metal plate covering some huge sidwalk hole (I'm sure)...which would bend and bounce when some walked or moved his/her chair on it - scary. Service was marginal - our waitor had to be flagged down a few times. As far as the food, we mostly enjoyed the bread! We all have had better salmon (entree), sushi, and figs with proscuitto (appetizer). I myself ordered the sushi and was VERY disappointed, especially for what it cost. I have a had great sushi, and this tasted like the prepackaged kind from the supermarket. Very inventive sushi options, but the rice seemed wrong and the fish marginal. I would recommend this place to grab a drink - stick to hanging out inside/enjoying the decor at the bar!
Pros: Inside decor
Cons: Food, prices, outdoor seating
