Review content:
The name - Charlie's Ale House - just drew me in. I like beer, and was curious as to what they had to offer. The on-tap selection is huge! They have so many different kinds of draft beer that no matter what your beer pleasure is, you will be satisfied. From local breweries - Three Floyds and Goose Island to Belguim and other European beers - there is something for everyone.
The food is fairly good. The menu selection is a mix between a gourmet Americana restaurant and "bar food". The selection ranges from several different sandwiches/flatbreads, steak, seafood, and salads. Actually, the menu is a bit more interesting than that, so I suggest you check the website for the menu before going.
I've had positive experiences every time with the waitstaff, and the atmosphere is fun. The restaurant decor is really classy and has a warm/comfortable look. Try to get a seat by the fireplace when it's cold outside - it's quite cozy!
Pros: Selection of beers - both tap and bottled are vast! Decor is really classic.
