Review content:
A wonderful mixture of things old and new. Mignonne is one of those great little stores that you stumble across and spend hours in. In speaking with the owner, I have discovered that she goes hunting for great one-of-a-kind vintage pieces to put in the store. Sometimes she reworks them, other times, they're great as they are. You can find the perfect things for yourself or a gift for someone else, that is if you can part with whatever treasures you find! Along with the vintage furniture, glasswear and other home decor pieces, you can find candles, great books and artwork. There is also a new childrens area with adorable vintage finds and unique items like Robeez shoes. I love the artwork that is brought into Mignonne. There is always a focus on local artists, which is kicked off by an evening opening event, (very fun evening I might add!) Some of the featured artsists have been Hannah Stouffer and Lisa Ostapinski. Mignonne is on the corner at 10th and Jefferson, right around the corner from Le Cheval. A definite jewel in the crown of Old Oakland, its a must see!
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Its hard to stop! I find myself wanting everything in there!
