Pelusita? I pity you for being so pathetic as to listen in on my conversation. I have never tricked any restaurant out of money in my entire life. I come from the service industry, I respect it, and I feel that I was treated very poorly for reasons unknown. Our waiter (once switched) received a 25 dollar tip from me and my guest. More than half of the price of our meal. Also we still paid for a portion of our meal. We saved no money whatsoever by voicing our complaints.
Our dreadful experience began not too shortly after sitting down. We were greeted with smiles by the hostess, but shortly after we were curtly greeted by a sloppily dressed waitress, things began to go sour. I asked for my Etouffee spicy although contradictory to how it is normally prepared. My waitress not only scoffed at my request but repeatedly and rudely told me how my entree would loose flavor. I let her know if the chef had a problem preparing my food in that fashion, that I would order the something else. She walked away before allowing me to finish my sentence.
Our waitress ignored our table going forward, not delivering our appetizers, or providing us with water. She was very rude to me and my guest twice, and never once asked us how we were doing. I curtly asked her if she was still our waitress. Just out of curiosity considering we had only seen her whip by our table without offering us service. She replied to me by saying, I see you are sweating, is your food hot enough?? in a clearly sarcastic manner. She also walked away laughing.
Now this is clearly inappropriate on so many levels. Not only did she try to embarrass me in front of my guest but she was blatantly rude, sarcastic, and snide with her patrons and the comment was completely uncalled for!
A New Orleans atmosphere is warm, friendly, family oriented, and welcoming. Not frigid, rude, and unaccommodating like the one presented to me and my friend on Saturday night.
All in all ok restaurant, terrible service.
