This restaurant is all about YOU. The owners/chefs bring a Malaysian flair to the concept, "Have it your way." They take care to support the local farmers, and offer a daily-changing selection of market vegetables. Sure, it's vegan-friendly, but I bring my omnivorous friends here frequently and they always find something to eat. (VEGANS: Take note... this place is REALLY vegan-friendly!) Diners choose their entrees according to seasoning and basic ingredient, then customize it with a selection of 4 items. We have a nice choice of starches (2 rices, 2 noodles), a buffet of beautiful local produce, and a main ingredient selection of chicken, fish, shrimp or two kinds of tofu. I always get two kinds of tofu and two veggies, while my friends order chicken, fish or shrimp with three veggies. It all works out to be a delicious experience, as spicy hot or as subtle as your tastebuds dictate. The seasonings are bright and complex, and NEVER, never overpowered by spicy heat. They have a decent wine selection, some good beer, a wide variety of alluring cocktails, as well as an excellent selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Another plus: The art work is beautiful! I highly recommend KINTA. Pros: Excellent food, owner operated, not a chain, supports local farmers. Cons: Parking can be challenging, but so what?
