Jackson Elementary School is a highly recognized school in the state of Texas. It gets great reviews based on the TAKS examination. However, these scores do not tell the whole story of Jackson. Jackson would not be my choice of schools for my child if I had a choice. The staff is friendly but the school does not allow work to come home if it was not completed in class. For children who need extra time to complete work this is completely unfair and it can destroy a child's love of school. There is no talking before school and they must sit silently in the gym prior to the first bell. It is a school of robots where the administration does not take into account the children they are supposed to be serving.
