I will start off by saying that I have never filled out an online review, which means I have very strong feelings on this topic. I have never had a problem with spending money for a quality cut and style but when I was charged $105 at Modern Salon & Spa in Birkdale Village for someone to spray my hair with water and cut it in 10 minutes, I went looking for better. I was lucky enough to find Brooke at Carmen Carmen at Lake Norman about three and a half years ago. She is the best around! She always asks me what I want and will do exactly what I ask for. She will also tell me her opinion if I ask. I trust her so much sometimes I just tell her to do what she thinks will look the best. I have never received so many compliments on my hair as I have since finding Brooke. Complete strangers commonly ask me where I get my hair done. I have also trusted her to chop my hair off when I donated my hair to Locks of Love a couple of years ago. I have followed her from the Lake Norman Carmen Carmen to the Ballantyne location of Carmen Carmen, and I have now been coming to the Callista Salon in Concord for over 2 years. Also, her prices are an absolute STEAL! She is so talented!!!!! Also, I have never seen a stylist with so many faithful followers. The one thing I will tell you is plan ahead for an appointment with Brooke, she books up ahead of time, her clients are no joke. I should know, I am one of them!
Pros: Brooke, friendly receptionist, great price
