I waited until the last minute to buy my wedding dress (well, actually, I bought a vintage one at a thrift store that didn't fit quite right and one from eBay that wasn't described correctly first) so I didn't have time to order one. Wendy's to the rescue! I tried on a dress, it fit perfectly, and I wore it with no alterations. It was nice to have an off-the-rack dress that didn't come from David's Bridal because they are so recognizeable (oh, that's a David's dress!). David's has pretty dresses and is fabulous for bridesmaids, but that's not what I wanted.
I have also brought other brides to Wendy's. It's a great place to try on gowns. A good selection in all price ranges.
