I was fortunate to have had a relative who had done extensive research when he needed to have pterygium surgery which connected him to the Gulani Institute. He found Doctor Gulani's specialized surgerical techniques/tools to be state of the art. After he highly recommended Doctor Gulani, I was motivated to set up a consultation regarding my need for pterygium surgery. I had had prior eye surgeries and was concerned about how these might affect the sucess of my surgery . When I met with Doctor Gulani, he assured me that despite the complexities that these surgeries presented, he was confident that my surgery would have positive results. His extensive knowledge/skills and great bedside manner set my mind atI ease prior to my surgery. I went into surgery feeling confident that all would go well. At my post surgery visit, I was amazed with the clarity of the conjunctiva. It was crystal clear; hence, it was difficult to see any visible signs of my surgery. My rating encompasses both the staff and Doctor Gulani. From the outset, his staff modeled a warm, professional mannerism that successfully depicted the Institute's "High Touch" Mission that allows one to feel valued as a patient. Throughtout the staff-patient relationship, they were expedient and very efficient in meeting my needs. More importantly, from the outset, Doctor Gulani maintained that same type of professional warmth, as well as providing ample time to not only make sure I understood the surgical procedure I was to undergo, but answered my questions. Doctor Gulani's mission to provide individualized advanced eye care at a level of care that is "High Tech-High Touch" clearly came through. Because of the quality of care I received, I recommended Doctor Gulani to my nephew who has now undergone the same type of surgery. He, too, is very pleased with his surgery results, as well as being impressed by Doctor Gulani's taking time to personally stay involved in his care.
